  1. DownloadGet the installer (3.7 MB). It installs for your Windows account only, so no administrator rights are needed.
  2. Run itIf Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info, then Run anyway. Installing from the Microsoft Store skips that warning.
  3. Open a fileDrop a PST, OST, EML, MSG or MBOX file on the window. Checking and reading are free; sign in to run a tool.

Needs Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with 4 GB of memory recommended for very large files. Uninstall any time from Settings, Apps.

Questions

About the desktop app.

Is the desktop app free?

Downloading and installing it is free. The viewer, the health check and every preview are free without an account; a free account adds 3 full runs. Pro and Technician run every tool without limits.

Do I need to buy it separately?

No. The desktop app is included with Pro and Technician, and uses the same account as the website. Sign in once in the app with your email or Google.

Does the app upload my mail?

No. Your files are read and written on your computer. The app only contacts mailtria.com to sign you in, check your plan and count free runs: your email address, your plan and the name of the tool, never a file or a message.

Which Windows versions does it run on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. It uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which Windows 11 already has; on Windows 10 the installer adds it if it is missing.

Windows says it protected my PC. Is that safe?

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warns about new programs it has not seen often yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Or install Mailtria from the Microsoft Store instead: Microsoft checks and signs it there, so there is no warning.

Download or Microsoft Store: which one?

Both are the same app with the same account. The Microsoft Store version installs without a warning and is updated by the Store. The download from this page tells you itself when a new version is out.

How do I update it?

From the Microsoft Store, updates arrive by themselves. The downloaded version tells you when a new one is out, and the new installer updates it in place. Your sign-in and job history are kept.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes, one computer at a time. Signing in on another computer signs the first one out.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet. On a Mac, every tool runs in your browser at mailtria.com, with the same engine and the same checks.
