    How it works

    3 steps, nothing to install.

    1

    Choose how to split

By year, month or top folder, with an optional size limit per part (for example under 2 GB for older Outlook versions).

    2

    Preview the parts

See every file that will be made, what it holds and about how big it is, before anything is written.

    3

    Split and save

Each part is written, read back and checked. Save the parts and the manifest that lists them.

    Checked before you save it.

The engine checks its own work. The result is read back from storage and compared with your original, and the report you can download lists every check.

    FAQ

    Questions, answered.

How do I split a PST file without Outlook?

Choose the file above, pick how to split it and preview the parts. Outlook is not needed, and it works on Mac and Linux too.

What is the PST size limit in Outlook?

Outlook 2010 and later default to a 50 GB limit, older versions to 20 GB, and very old ANSI files stop at 2 GB. Large files also make Outlook slow; splitting by year keeps each file small.

    Are folders kept?

Yes. Each part keeps the folder structure of the messages it holds.

    Is my file uploaded?

No. The engine runs inside your browser tab and reads the file from your disk. Results are written to your browser's private storage until you save them. Nothing is sent to a server.

Will my original file be changed?

Never. Every result is a new file, and the engine checks that the source is unchanged before it finishes.
