Privacy policy

The short version

• Your files are never uploaded. PST, OST, MBOX, EML and MSG files are read and written by our engine running inside your browser, on your computer. We cannot see, copy or keep them.
• Like every website, our hosting provider receives technical data when you load our pages (see below).
• If you create an account or buy a plan, we keep what is needed for that: your email address, your plan and how many full runs you used. Never what was in your files.
• We do not sell personal data and do not use advertising trackers.

Your mail files

When you choose a file, your browser gives our engine (WebAssembly code downloaded with the page) permission to read it. Results are written to your browser's private storage on your computer until you save them, and are removed when you start over or close the tab. No part of a file, and no information about its contents (names, subjects, addresses, attachments), is sent to us. You can confirm this: once a tool page has loaded, it keeps working with your internet connection switched off.

What reaches our servers

When you visit the site

Our site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use aggregate, cookie-free statistics (such as how many people visited a page) to improve the site; they do not identify you.

If you create an account

We store your email address (or, if you sign in with Google, the email address and name Google shares with us), when you signed up, your plan, and a count of the full runs you used. We use this only to provide the service, to apply the free-run allowance, and to contact you about your account.

If you buy a plan

Payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record. It receives your payment details and billing address; we receive a confirmation of the purchase and your email address. We never see your card number.

If you write to us

We keep your email and our reply to help you and to improve the service. Please do not send us your mail files.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in. Some tool preferences (such as the width of the viewer's columns) are kept in your browser's storage on your computer and never sent to us.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to close it, except what the law requires us to keep (for example purchase records for tax purposes). Hosting logs are kept by Cloudflare for a short period under its own policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent, by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email about any significant change.
